At Summit Dance Academy, our ballet program education is designed to train dancers to be the most proficient and well-rounded dancers possible. While we follow the Vaganova Syllabus, our teachers make sure that the dancers are also exposed to many other styles of ballet technique. Our training includes classes in ballet technique, pointe, variations, character dance, and pas de deux. The dancers in the ballet program are encouraged to also take other styles of dance offered at Summit Dance Academy. Summit Ballet Theatre is proud of offer two full-length ballet performances per dance season, The Nutcracker in December and another classical ballet at the end of the dance season in June.
We also offer coaching for The Denver Ballet Guild, a local scholarship based ballet competition as well as for YAGP. Multiple times per dance season we bring in ballet master teachers to broaden the dancers exposure to not only learning from someone new, but to build relationships with people in our dance community.
